The role of planning experimentation in the definition of the built environment.
OSDOTTA Annual Conference
OSDOTTA is the network of departments of Italian Universities concerned with research in the field of the Technology of Architecture.
It carries out joint activities with national and international universities which meet at the annual conference to exchange ideas and research.
The Scientific Committee chooses the Papers of particular interest and importance which will be published in the Acts of the Annual Conference.
The 2012 Acts collect reflections about the city as an experimental area, including the latest updates from the field of Technology of Architecture, broad ranging theoretical principles and a wide range of specialist applications.
Paper
Gestione dei Processi: Scelte possibili tra possibili scelte
Technology and Architecture: Choices and possibilities
The topic of the paper is the role of the economic evaluation of the project in the field of technological experimentation. The contribution highlights the influence of costs on the project, the relevance of economic control in the penetration and diffusion of innovation in the construction sector and the opportunities offered by the current instruments of financial management in the building process.
In this context, the need for a new procedural instrument for evaluation is evident. This instrument should pinpoint the basic requirements necessary to meet the demands of sustainability in its differing interpretations.
